Vintage rare pair of West German mid century nutcracker Beer drinking German bar stool these are from the 60s and made in west Germany. All of them are stamped on the bottom . They are stool height is 30 inches . The hat /seats and beard are fur. Made by Volkmar Matthes back in the 60s. Good condition for age they few paint hips but they do not distract from there appearance. There aprons are made from leather wit h Hofrrau HB Munchen Hofbräu” translates to “the court’s brewery” in English. The name is used for several breweries in German-speaking countries, including the well-known Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany. Very solid stools on round pine bases that are 13 inch wide
