This is a delightful and useful gift for a child or collector of Spode’s ‘Edwardian Childhood’ items. The drum shaped money box is made of quality glazed earthenware and stands 4 3/4  high and has a diameter of 4 inch The white body is decorated with blue pictures of toys from the beginning of the last century which were recreated from 100 year old engravings on copper plates. The borders top and bottom feature letters of the alphabet and numbers. On the top is the slot for money and a picture of a man fishing with the caption, ‘Who will not save a penny shall never have many.’ The base is fully back stamped and has the original rubber stopper which fits securely .  In very good condition
