This is a top quality  Silver Plated Four Piece Tea Set. The set comprises a teapot, hot water jug, cream jug and sugar bowl with the teapot and hot water jug having wooden handles and finials. The pieces are round, of bulbous form and have stepped circular bases.

The set is made by Garrard & Co of London as part of their Regent Plate range and dates to 1976. With a history going back to 1722, Garrard & Co is one of Britain’s most prestigious silversmiths and jewellers and held the title of Crown Jeweller from 1735 and continuously from 1843 to 2007. In 1952 they acquired The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co and took over the use of their Regent Plate trademark.

Condition of the tea set is very good with no significant plate loss  There is a very tiny mark on the top of the teapot

The teapot is  10 inch from spout to handle, 6 inch across the body and 6 inch to the top of the handle. The hot water jug is 8 inch from spout to handle 5 inch across the body and 8 1/2 inch to the top of the finial. The cream jug is 4 inch from spout to handle, 3 inch across the body and  4 3/4  to the top of the handle. The sugar bowl is  5 inch from handle to handle,  4 inch across the body and  4 inch to the top of the handles.

The underside of each piece is marked Garrard & Co Ltd, 112 Regent Street, Regent Plate. silver on copper

This is a retirement  presentation  gift from Schweppes limited to a Mr  G J Page in 1976 and engraved on the front of the teapot. All in the original box
