Description
Large wall hanging vintage imari Japanese charger damaged but expertly stapled back together which was a victorian way of repairing important pieces of porcelain. This charger has been broken in many pieces but is hard to see when looking at the front of the charger. The charger has its original wire plate hanger. It has a large chip that has been filled and over painted. Displays really well. Japanese Imari charger. This lovely charger measures 15 1/2 inch in diameter and is decorated in the beautiful colours we would expect to see in an Imari plate. The central cameo featuring flowers, with alternating sections of blue and russet red surrounding the plate. The reverse decorative also, with blue decorative motifs and lines.
