Description
fine china cup, saucer and plate set commemorating the sixty year reign of Queen Victoria. The small cup, saucer and matching plate each has a colour transfer picture of the Royal coat of arms supported by a lion on the left and a unicorn at right, and text. Text above the coat of arms ‘LONGEST AND MOST GLORIOUS REIGN/ SIXTY YEARS’ and in a banner below the coat of arms ‘1837 LONG VICTORIA LIVE 1897’. Opposite this is a floral motif featuring pink flowers, thistle and greenery.
All pieces have gold rims.
comes with A matching Wileman Foley small cup and saucer made in 1897 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. Gilding to rims.
The small cup measuring 2¼” tall and 2⅜” wide; the saucer 4⅜” wide.
large cup is 3 inch wide 2 3/4 inch tall and has a small crack
