A bronze bust of a young girl signed Toddy 94 Firorini London foundry stamp on hardwood plinth baseRev. Toddy Hoare is an Oxford-based sculptor and letter-cutter. He was educated at the London School of Art and (in Theology) at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. He has now taken early retirement after several decades of active ministry. TODDY HOARE is trained as a sculptor, served as a soldier, spent 25 years as stipendiary rural parish priest in North Yorkshire, retired and retrieved pen to write poetry reflecting on experiences, scripture, theology, events, and about his sculptures over the years based on theological reflection.His work has been inspired by theological and literary themes His two major projects with Arts Council grants can be viewed at Burton Agnes Hall, East Riding of Yorkshire, consisting of two sets of 8 door-sized panels of the Call of the Disciples and The Stations of the Cross.His one claim to fame is sharing a model with Rodin: Eve Fairfax was 30 years old in 1903 when Rodin made the first of a series of heads of her (one of these bronzes is in the V&A ), and 101 when she sat for Toddy 70 years later. She died age 107. The Fiorini Art Bronze Foundry was established around 1950 by Remo Fiorini (1915-97) and located in Fulham, South London. His father, Giovanni Fiorini, also ran a foundry in Battersea from 1909-1929. In 1952, the foundry opened by Remo Fiorini was located at 12a Michael Road, Fulham. base is 7 inch x 6 inch bust on stand stands 17 inch tall
